Center avenues in the Zweibrücken Fashion Outlet
All avenues in our center were given street names in 2023 that are based on regional characteristics. We would like to make it easier for you to find your way around the center and point out highlights in Zweibrücken and the surrounding area.
Here you can gain an insight into the significance of the streets:
- Rosenallee:
Zweibrücken, the city of roses, gets its name from its striking landmark, the Zweibrücken Rose Garden. This is Germany's oldest novelty garden for roses and the third largest rosarium in Germany. You will find it in the center of Zweibrücken at Rosengartenstrasse 50.
- Klosterallee:
The Hornbach monastery, which was founded in 1741, has integrated most of the preserved remains into a hotel complex. Here you will find the idyllic hotel of the same name with a monastery tavern and beer garden. There is a museum in the basement of the building that illustrates the history of the monastery.
- Fasanenallee:
A tribute to the baroque Fasanerie park with the former Tschifflik pleasure palace. Today you will find the romantic Hotel Landschloss Fasanerie with a beautiful terrace, preserved parks, another rose garden and water area.
- Allee der Rosse:
Zweibrücken is not only the city of roses, but also of horses, formerly known as Rosse. This avenue refers to the Zweibrücken state stud. The town is home to the smallest, but also the oldest state stud in Germany. In 1755, Zweibrücken became a hub for horse breeding and equestrian sport in Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and southern Germany. Twice a year, the Zweibrücken racing days are held for numerous visitors.
- Schlossgarten:
Zweibrücken's ducal palace is located in the heart of the city and is also intended to reflect the center of our Zweibrücken Fashion Outlet. The castle is one of the largest and most magnificent secular baroque buildings in Rhineland-Palatinate. The former ducal residence, built in 1720, is now home to the Palatinate Higher Regional Court.
- Schlossallee:
This avenue leads you to the focal point of our center, our leafy palace garden.
